Bouquet Canyon Rd. Closure
The condition of Bouquet Canyon Creek has prompted closure of a portion of Bouquet Canyon Road within Angeles National Forest. The road was closed Thursday, Oct. 27, and will remain closed to all traffic at least through winter storm season, which officially ends on April 15. For more information, please visit the link.
The City of Lancaster is considering the approval of two utility scale solar projects directly west of Antelope Acres, totaling 414 acres. Please familiarize yourself with this Initial Study and come to the Town Council's special public meeting Wednesday January 11th at 6:00 at Westside Community Church to discuss effective dust control after large-area land disturbances, and the proposed project. Please submit written comments regarding the CUP to Jocelyn Swain at by January 17th and attend the City Council meeting January 17th at 6pm to make your voices heard.
Submit Comments on the Proposed Solar Project by the January 17th Deadline
It is very important that Antelope Acres residents voice their openions before the new deadline of January 17th. You will not have the right to contest or sue in the future regarding any issue listed on the Initial Study unless you address that issue in a formal comment before the deadline. Below, please find five sample comments, each with a different focus, as identified on the button. They can also be emailed in Word to allow you to make modifications. Please contact us to request a Word document. The links below are in PDF and can be downloaded, signed and submitted to contest the proposed project via email or the US postal service.
